Dedicated to Leo Fender (1906-1991)
The Fender Stratocaster was, is, and will be the most beautiful guitar ever built - that's an objective fact. It was a boyhood dream come true when, in March 1998 (18 years after first seeing Ritchie Blackmore wield one on the back of "Made in Europe"), I finally acquired sufficient funds to become a proud Stratocaster owner myself.
This site is an homage to this most awesome of guitars. It includes pictures of rare, vintage or just particularly striking Fender Stratocasters, as well as some other interesting Fender-made stringed instruments. It also includes a bibliography and links to related sites. Click on the links at the top to check out the galleries. When viewing those, you can click on the pictures to access larger ones. Have fun experiencing Stratocaster.Gallery!
The site is divided into "Pre-CBS" (Stratocasters from the era up to 1965, before the CBS corporate buy-out), "CBS" (the CBS era, from 1965-1985), "FMIC" (the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation era, from 1985 up to now), "Custom Shop" (featuring one-off or very limited Stratocasters created by the Fender Custom Shop, from 1987 up to now), "Other Electrics' (featuring other striking electric instruments released by Fender), "Acoustics" (showing the coolest acoustic guitars), "Basses" (showing some cool basses), "Books" (a quite exhaustive list of Fender-related books), "Background" (colour charts, videos, etc.) and "Links" (referring to other Strat-relevant sites).
